I wanted to personally thank you for organizing this fundraiser. I came upon your website by accident as I did not know that such a run existed. I just lost my father to metastatic melanoma on 4/7/2009. Just like your mother he fought for 17 1/2 months after being diagnosed with a small lesion under his arm, within the 17 months it formed on his back, liver, lungs, spine and brain.
I wanted to thank you for this opportunity to help find a cure and to honor my father and your mother.
Thank you again.

Maria,
I felt compelled to write and tell you that we all so enjoyed our walk with everyone who attended this event and that by attending and donating to this cause, it helped our family by showing us that we are not alone!
Our niece Katie fought a two year battle as well and although only 18 years old, she was wise well beyond her years. Katie loved life and was looking forward to becoming a caregiver. She wanted to work with children either by teaching or becoming a registered nurse. Her identical twin sister Kristie is going on to pursue a career in health. Kristie does so in honor of Katie. She has told us often since Katie passed that she wants to be everything that they aspired to be together!
Attending the walk inspired all of us to do more to help make people more aware of this disease and to encourage everyone we know to do whatever they can to avoid becoming a victim.
Katie is now amongst the Angels and as her parents struggle everyday without her here, I know that she watches from Heaven and would want all of us to do our best to help fight this disease.
God Bless all of you for your efforts and we will stay committed to attending every year! Our sweet Katie fought a strong fight and lost the battle but even now encourages us to push on and we do. Not a day goes by that we don't think of her with love and every memory we all share of this beautiful child will live on forever in our hearts. Take much care and again thank you all for the chance to share in the cause.

Beth,
The honor was ours to not just support such an amazing event but to be in the company of an amazing family who share a passion for waging this war against this deadly disease that has impacted our families and so many lives around us. Everything about the walk was done so well, every attention to detail. We are so anxious to hear the details of what we know is sure to have been a HUGE success and we will have been proud to have played a small part in such a grand achievement.
