Our M.O.M., Inc. Day at the St. Louis Cardinals Game
June 20, 2010 - Busch Stadium
It was the day before the first day of summer. It was the day before the three year anniversary of our mom losing her battle to melanoma. And it was such an honor to hold this event with the St. Louis Cardinals in hopes of raising awareness of the importance of skin protection.
We were so pleased to team up with the St. Louis Cardinals to "Strike Out Skin Cancer." We sold over 300 tickets and handed out 10,000 packets of free sunscreen. Baseball fans greatly appreciated the sunscreen, as the sun was blazing and the temperature was above 100. Our M.O.M., Inc. board and committee members had a great time helping people protect their skin by handing out sunscreen. Hopefully this will remind people that they need to keep sunscreen handy all of the time!
The Schellhardt Family was honored to go on the field before the game as well as be able to set up a booth in Ford's Plaza. Thank you to everyone who supported this wonderful event. We appreciate the efforts of the St. Louis Cardinals helping us achieve our goal to "Strike Out Skin Cancer."
